I found ABCOFCLOUD (Cloud Computing Empowerment) during a planned transition in my career from IT Support/System Administration. What began as a personal aim to learn something new, innovative and futuristic, led me to a path I’m very much satisfied with. I currently work as a DevOps Engineer, although my Cloud Computing career began as an Infrastructure Engineer. In my current role, I handle various kinds of DevOps operations and also infrastructure workload for clients majorly in the US and U.K. When I look back at workloads I have handled, collaborated on, supervised, I’m excited at the opportunity I had been given at ABCOFCLOUD to nurture and grow my skills as a Cloud Engineer. Beyond the skills, through ABCOFCLOUD, I have access to some of the best Cloud Engineers within and outside Nigeria. Every great story begins with being given a chance like I was given at ABCOFCLOUD (Cloud Computing Empowerment).

Out of curiosity, I wanted to understand more about cloud computing which aligned perfectly with my long-time dream of becoming a tech professional one day. I started my journey, but the road wasn’t easy. There was so much noise out there; endless YouTube videos and poorly designed bootcamps filled with promises but little delivery, all at high cost. It was disappointing, but I never gave up. Then one day, I stumbled upon a live class on TikTok about networking. I stopped scrolling, stayed, and listened and that moment became the real beginning of my tech journey. Despite personal challenges that could have made me quit, I became hooked on your expert, practical, and inspiring teaching style. Through your coaching, I successfully passed the AZ-900 and am now confidently preparing for the AZ-104. You truly are an angel sent, Solomon Jeremiah Francis. Connected with Solomon on TikTok through a friend, Temitope, on another person’s live. The conversation at the time was our plans for Valentine’s Day. Jersol was someone I felt was easy-going, friendly and funny person to chat with so I followed him and was glad he followed back. I met Jersol again on his own TikTok Live and heard him talking about offering Cloud Engineer training for those who want to get themselves into Tech - I saw this as a great opportunity as I have always wanted a new career in Tech, though I didn’t know what route to take. I was convinced that I would be in the hands of a great Teacher so far I am willing to learn so reached out to Jersol, who said he would add me on. Within a couple of months of joining, I wrote my first certification, AZ-900, and passed it. I am currently studying to go ahead and smash AZ-104, SC-900 and more. My journey into Tech is one that I’ll never forget the root - an amazing Mentor, Jersol, who guided me. It has been an eye opener into the ‘cloud computing world’. I studied Mechanical Engineering, and for a while, I practiced in that field. But over time, I realized that my sense of fulfillment was no longer there. In 2023, I reached out to Jeremiah Solomon, and he graciously admitted me free of charge into the ABC of Cloud 2024 Cohort. That moment became the real turning point in my life. Before then, I knew absolutely nothing about Cloud Computing, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft 365. But Jerry patiently taught me these technologies and helped me build a solid foundation. He didn’t stop there he challenged me to start talking about what I was learning on LinkedIn, and that’s how my journey of consistency and visibility truly began. Today, I proudly serve as a volunteer expert champ for the Microsoft Power Up Program as well as Women in Microsoft Power Platform. One of my biggest milestones so far is that I’ll be attending the 2025 Power Platform Community Conference in Las Vegas, with a free voucher worth $1,900.
